Station tours & school visits

We welcome preschools, scout troops, community groups, and local families to visit Station 1.

Youth education

Making friends before an emergency

One of the most important things we do with young children is let them see what a firefighter looks and sounds like in full turnout gear and a breathing mask — so if they ever face an emergency, they recognize responders as friends and aren't afraid.

During a visit, children can see the gear up close, learn age-appropriate escape and smoke-detector tips, and climb into the cab of a fire engine.
