We have recently learned that a credit card / email scam exists, falsely representing our fire department.  Do not be fooled!  Although we gratefully accept donations in the form of a check, we do not presently accept credit card donations, nor do we authorize anyone to process credit card donations on our behalf.

To make the email scam seen legitimate, the email may include the following details:

• A statement that implies that the email is from our fire department, with a note of thanks.

• A donation receipt number.

• The last four digits of your credit card.  This may be your actual account number, or not.

Don’t be fooled! If you receive such an email, please contact your credit card company immediately, followed by contacting your local law enforcement agency.
